Walking

If the temperature doesn't go out of control and the heat doesn't become oppressive, one of the most appealing ways to check out what Ugljan and Kali have to offer is, as the local phrase goes, 'na noge' (on foot). There are app. twenty hiking trails that vary in length. If you really need your hiking adventure, pick a cloudy day to mount Šćah, the highest peak on Ugljan island. You should also hike to St. Michael’s, a medieval defense fortress situated on a hilltop above Preko at 265m. You can pick up your map of hiking trails of Ugljan and Pašman – Trekking & Mountain biking - at the Tourist office.

Swimming

Still, you gotta have a dip, right? We suggest one of our own Kali beaches. Pick a pebbled or a sandy beach ideal for families with small kids. The seafront, stretching for over 20 kilometers, pristine Adriatic Sea and green pine trees sloping over the beaches, bays and coves, are definitely pocket aces of Ugljan.

Biking

If bike is an extension of your feet and you prefer it to other means of transportation, you can rent a bike in Preko, the neighboring village, and set about one or all the bike trails, which vary in length and levels of difficulty. Some of the trails are suitable for beginners, however, experienced cyclists can try out more challenging trails. You can find detailed information about the hiking trails on the map of Ugljan and Pašman – Trekking& Mountain biking - that you can pick up at Kali Tourist Office.

Diving

Did you know that Ugljan marine life keeps many secrets? Several underwater archeological attractions and a colorful flora and fauna attract divers worldwide. If you're not a diver, you can try it out at the Diving Center 'Ugljan'.

Rent-a-boat

Warm weather just calls for a sea-bound fitness adventure. If you don't own a boat, and you're dying to explore numerous bays and coves of Kali on the north and south side of the island, we recommend renting a boat and enjoying the adventure. Beside selling sports gear, Nav Adriatic agency at www.navadriatic.com offers rent-a-boat services.

Nautics

Do you like wind in your hair, the waves and the freedom that comes with sailing? Explore the little bays and coves of Ugljan with your sailboat and enjoy our part of the world. There are two marinas popular with visitors: Olive Island Marina in Sutomišćica village and Marina Preko in Preko village.

Recreational fishing

If you're into recreational fishing, try your luck in the most famous fishing village on the Adriatic. There are many good fishing spots along the seafront great for recreational fishermen, but the prime spots - you must discover by yourself...
